WakaWaka has been named a 2015 CES Innovation Awards Honoree for the WakaWaka Power+ and the WakaWaka Base. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 28 product categories.
The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the producer of the International CES, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
Recognition for WakaWaka’s Good Industrial Design
WakaWaka’s prepaid solar product designed by Stereo Design, the WakaWaka Virtual Grid, was recognized for its Good Industrial Design at the 28th GIO awards ceremony hosted by Design Link. GIO showcases Dutch designs with an outstanding level of innovation, originality and functionality.
The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ programme is considered the world's most prestigious business award and is held in more than 145 cities and in more than 60 countries worldwide.

WakaWaka won four of the prestigious Accenture Innovation Awards out of 525 submissions; an achievement that has not been precedented. The jury explained, "WakaWaka provides light where it's a true requirement. It's not a gadget or a toy, but it contributes to the quality of life. The altruistic character of this innovation really makes a difference for places where it's needed the most."
